Are U Ready for Fall??????

After suffering through INSANE heat this summer……I am SOOOOOOO looking forward to the fall! All of the craft shows that we have set up are in the fall, cooler weather is SOOO in the fall, Jessica and I take our vacation in the fall, our church is super busy this fall….. then there is the “feeling” of fall. I LOVE how fall feels. The clothes, the changing leaves, the cooler weather, the cider, the cooler weather, the scarves, the cooler weather…… hehehehee. As you can tell I am pretty excite. Cute Memory Game

I think we’ve posted on this before, but I have some new pics and an announcement!
This is our new product that we will have for sale at our up coming craft shows! Memory Games!!! You take old Jenga Blocks, scraps of scrapbook paper (matching of course), regular glue, black spray paint, clear coat and then you are ready to make memory game magic…….

In the beginning I hand painted all the tiles….then I had a brainstorm and decided that black spray paint would be SOOOO much better! And it was! NOTE: I did try to spray paint them other colors……was NOT successful……

I painted a thin layer of elmer’s glue on the blank black block, then put the scrapbook paper on it. Smooth it out of course. When it dries, put another layer or 2 of glue to seal it in. DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP…….TRUST ME.

When you get all of them glued up … you can either do a layer or two of spray clear coat on all side (make sure every side is completely dry before you move to the next side….speaking from experience on things sticking to newspaper and ruining things…). You can also “paint” all sides with a thin coat of Polyurethane.

Teens love them as much as the kiddos. In children’s church we always play this game after our lesson.

Pinterest

If you have never ever heard of Pinterest..... Don’t feel bad, I hadn’t heard of them till a few months ago. Now, I’m addicted.

This sight has been a AMAZING source of inspiration when I feel I have none. Each picture on Pinterest is a link to the website where the person found it. SO, if you see a pic of a DIY skirt you want to try and make....Click on the pic....zoom, off to the site where the DIY is found. Want to cook something outside the normal box.....click a pic, you will thank me later. If you have an iphone....they have an app and your app syncs with what you pin on your Pinterest boards, so you always have them with you. (handy for grocery or craft shopping and you forgot your list)

I have been so inspired personally, but it has also been wonderful for Hello Ladies. We have come up with some great ideas off of pics that we have seen and saved. We aren’t copying their work, but something about the pic gives us a shot of inspiration and we get busy working on it. When we open our shop (one day) we have so many pics of displays we want to put our own spin on and make happen.... All that said, it is a great site. 2 things and an apology.

First things first the apology: Ok, remember when we were going to reveal some awesome secret merch to you? Well, I'm so sorry it's not happening as fast as we said it would...I don't exactly have a camera to take pictures for you...but I should have one soon and the first thing I will do with it is take pictures for this blog! :-)

Here's another hint: It is definitely wedding related but Mandy and I have tweaked it to be any-major-event-related...because we're awesome like that. And we even have a tutorial so that you can try one out yourself. BUT they are extremely low priced, so if you don't want to go through the trouble we'll do it for you.
